ACA has relaunched its Focus magazine as a quarterly
electronic publication. Focus is not an academic journal
but rather a forum for professionals seeking to explore
and develop traditional and new ideas and processes
that promote creativity. It is designed to foster the rigorous,
yet respectful, fact-based examination of ideas and
processes in order to develop a valid and growing knowledge
base for our discipline. The association refrains from
endorsing specific approaches.
The editorial staff of
Focus is seeking submissions for the magazine. Articles
of roughly 1000 words written at the level of the general
professional reader are particularly appropriate. We
are also seeking reviews of books from all arenas of
the creativity field. Submission is requested in MS
Word or another word processing software program. Graphics
or pictures you wish to accompany your article should
be submitted as separate JEPG files. Submission does
not imply acceptance for publication. Authors will be
notified of acceptance within 2 weeks of submission.
Article submissions should be sent to acafocus@mac.com.
Authors who wish to have their books reviewed for possible
inclusion in Focus should send a copy of their book
to the Focus office at:
Focus Office
American Creativity Association
813 Seffert Street
Philadelphia, PA 19128
