HOW TO MAKE AN AWARD-WINNING FILM --
A Narrative, a Screening, an Experience. Let the Emmy Award
Winner Amber Edwards share her film and her experience of
making it with you. Pick up valuable tips and gain special
insights into the making of a documentary feature. Amber's
film George Segal has won numerous awards and is
now fast becoming a "classic" of the American art/culture
industry.

EXPERIENCE INDIAN CLASSICAL DANCE -- From One of its Great Exponents, Nirmala.
This award-winning artist will demonstrate the exquisite art of classical Indian dancing and link the
dance form/art to Hindu traditions and philosophy.

"MINI" INDIAN CULTURAL EXPERIENCE. Begin your evening with a feast of Indian food
varieties (vegetarian and non-vegetarian). Then adjourn to one of Singapore's best-known Indian
nightspots and be entertained by the Bhangra Dance with its rhythmic vibrations and sheer energy.
Relax with a drink and small-eats as beautiful dancers entertain you with scintillating moves and let
your ears enjoy the haunting music from the land that retains its mystery!

LEARN FROM THE MASTER -- Justin Scott, world-famous novelist and creator of the
inimitable detective Ben Abbott. Let Justin show you how to work on a "thriller." Create fiction that
works!

MUSIC FROM ANOTHER TIME -- A "Master Class" by Electric Diamond, one of today's
most sizzling and sensational rock ensembles. Presenting live electronic classical music in an entirely

wanting to explore the byways of creative articulation.

VARIETIES OF RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE. Visit some of Singapore's famous places of
worship; see and experience the living reality of religious practice. Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism,
Sikhism, Islam--all come alive as you visit the churches, temples, mosques--places vital with the
vibrancy of religious enchantment. Our tour will begin with a talk on multi-religious Singapore and
then explore its rich diversity of religion.

where different worlds come together. The tour will leave in the morning and return early evening.
Along the way there will be opportunities to experience Malaysian rural/folk living and food.

BATAM -- Gateway to Indonesia. Just about an hour away from Singapore lies the
inviting island of Batam, one of Indonesia's 7000+ islands with rural/peasant landscapes and charm.
Enjoy the sumptuous food and bring back some really gorgeous souvenirs. The ferry ride is beautifully
engaging as it moves from the calm waters of Singapore to the exciting waves of International Sea!
