Creativity Tests – Introduction to Creativity Assessment

Several creativity tests are widely used including the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking-Verbal and Figural (TTCT: Torrance, 1966).  While other creativity tests will be discussed, the session will focus on the TTCT because they are the most widely used creativity tests worldwide and have been translated into 36 languages. After participants are administered a shorten version of the TTCT, the participants will be shown what the TTCT measure, how the TTCT results are interpreted, and the validity of the TTCT. Thereafter, the participants will be able to judge their own creativity in light of the TTCT.

  • Identify the usefulness of creativity tests
  • Identify what creativity tests measure
  • Interpret the results of creativity tests
  • Evaluate participants’ own creative potential
  • Evaluate prominent research on creativity tes
