Life Stories of Creative Women

Through a qualitative study, eleven women from diverse backgrounds and occupations describe  a passion for their work, a sense of adventure and a level of resilience that assisted them to produce creatively. Narratives of each mature woman reveal a unique journey to accomplishment. The women describe people and events that assisted them to achieve as well as barriers they overcame.  In this session, themes that emerged from the research as well as individual stories of the women will be shared.  Suggestions for nurturing creativity in females will be discussed.
