Brad Fregger an international speaker on leadership, negotiation, and creativity. In addition to writing four books, he is also the inventor of Computer Card Solitaire and the producer of Shanghai; two of the most popular computer games in the world. Brad is currently President/CEO of Groundbreaking Press, an author-services book publishing company and a lecturer (professor) at Texas State University-San Marcos (Business Communication).

Brad holds a Master's Degree in Futuristics. His speech, "Earthward Implications of Cosmic Migration," was given at the American Astronautical Society's proceedings in honor of the tenth anniversary of Apollo 11's landing on the moon.

Companies cannot remain competitive without innovation at all levels and in all areas. In this session you will learn about 3M’s (arguably the most innovative company in the world) corporate philosophy and how it supports and sponsors innovation throughout the organization, and how mangers create environments that allow innovation to flourish within the team.

Both efforts are essential if an organization is going to remain competitive. Top management can squander the innovative efforts of the team, and line managers, through ineffective team leadership, can block the creative efforts of the team and the individuals within it.

  • Understand from the business perspective what innovation and creativity are and what they are not.
  • Understand the importance of the critical judgement of ideas within the business environment.
  • Understand the the ability to create and innovate is a human trait that can be blocked by the environment, or, released by effective leadership.
  • Understand how a large organization can sponsor and support innovation.
  • Understand the relationship between achieveing a team environment that is highly innovative and effective leadership.
