Psycholog-ization -- The Implications of the Emergence of Practical Psychology in Mainstream Culture, Especially Regarding Work, Education, and Everyday Life

A number of developments have made it more possible to apply the best insights of psychology in many sectors of our culture, and also these promote the underlying components of creative thinking. Those attending this session will have a chance to learn through some experiential exercises, small-group discussions, and didactic presentation a number of practical ideas and techniques that they can use in their work and play.

Objectives:

  • Better access their natural flow of imaginative ideas
  • Be more aware of the degrees of their own performance
  • Be more sensitive to the subtle gradient of preferences in the interpersonal field
  • Recognize some of the factors operating in the culture to inhibit or promote creativity
  • Weave a measure of playfulness into the task of exploring a problem creatively.

Intermediate knowledge of topic
Mixture lecture and also some breaking the groups into dyads and small groups for a few experiential exercises.
