S.P.R.E.A.D.ng Creative Thinking from the Front or Back Door to the Executive Floor

In 1950 J. P. Guilford challenged the psychological profession to research creativity.  In 1954 Alex Osborn and Sidney J. Parnes began to show leaders and managers how to introduce creativity into their workplaces.  Since 1976 I have worked individually and in virtual groups striving to help leaders and managers S.P.R.E.A.D. creative thinking systematically throughout their entire organizations in ALL employees. Most business schools and business magazines write about creativity and innovation but is it really being supported, promotoed, recognized, encourgage, applied and developed in our workplaces? Through this presentation learn how to create such a workable plan you can begin to use next week.

Objectives:

  • overview of corporate creativity development programs
  • exposure to a basic system for developing creative thinking throughout an organization
  • opportunity to begin creating an organizational creative thinking development program
